"WE SERVE TOO"
INTRODUCTION TO LIONESS
In 1975 the Lions Club International Board of Directors voted to recognize the women who had been serving in Lions Clubs auxiliaries all over the world. Some of the auxiliaries had been in existence and serving Lionism for nearly 50 years. For the first time, these women's groups were united under one name, one banner, one emblem and one constitution. The Lioness Club Program was launched.
Amity Township Lioness Club was chartered April 8, 1985 and is sponsored by the Amity Lions Club. A member of our sponsoring Lions Club acts as a liaison and is very supportive of our activities and keeps open communication between our two clubs.
